Italian composer.
Her parents were probably well-to-do bourgeois, perhaps civil servants, as they were able to obtain the aid of Duke Ranuccio Farnese in the education of her younger brother, Giovanni Battista (born 3 April 1569), also a composer.
One madrigal by Massarenghi was published in Arcangelo Gherardini’s Primo libro de madrigali a cinque voci.
