Valeggio, Pavia, 1859 - Rome, ? after 1924

Italian pianist and composer.
She used the pseudonym Centa della Morea.
She studied in Turin with Carlo Pedrotti and Giovanni Bolzoni, and later also with Giovanni Sgambati.
She married the Count de Cardenas and lived in Milan, where she attended Countess Maffei’s salon and played with Arrigo Boito, Franco Faccio and Gaetano Coronaro.
In 1888 she moved to Rome where she met Gabriele D’Annunzio and Matilde Serao.
Her drawing-room songs were performed at the meetings of the Fracassa, together with those by Paolo Tosti, Augusto Rotoli and Luigi Denza.
